What To Expect

Day 1: Barcelona, Spain. Visit Barcelona’s cultural gems and explore the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter.

Day 2: Barcelona, Spain. Stroll Las Ramblas, admire Gaudi’s architecture, see the Arc de Triomf and sample tapas.

Day 3: Sete, France. Walk along Sete’s main canal or visit nearby Montpellier, Carcassonne or Canal du Midi.

Day 4: Marseille, France. Absorb the pleasures of Marseille’s historic treasures; see the scenic Old Port and 17th-century fortresses.

Day 5: Villefranche-sur-Mer, France. Explore the marvelous French Riviera. (This is a Viking change from Monte Carlo.)

Day 6: Florence/Pisa, Italy. Visit Pisa’s famed Leaning Tower or venture to Florence to revel in its art and architecture.

Day 7: Florence/Pisa, Italy. Journey through rolling hills to Florence, home to fine art such as Michealangelo’s David.

Day 8: Rome, Italy. Marvel at antiquities, such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Sistine Chapel.

Trip Details

When is the cruise? This cruise embarks on January 4th, 2026 and disembarks on January 12th, 2026. We are flying out of Montreal on January 2nd and spending a night in Barcelona before we board the ship. You are welcome to join us, or you can fly out on January 3rd. Why did we choose January? We try to find the most cost-effective time to travel as well as avoid the heavy crowds of the seasons. January offers both! While you won’t be in your bathing suit sunning along the French riviera, you also won’t be wrapped in your Mt Everest rated Parka. The temperatures along this route average 50 degrees, so essentially springtime for us north country folk.

How much does the cruise cost? All cabins on a Viking Ocean Cruise have a balcony. Prices start at $2,799 per person for the 8-day all-inclusive cruise, including 5 shore excursions. Viking is currently running a sale through July 31st that includes reduced rates on most cabins, reduced cost of flights and only a $25 deposit per person to secure your cabin. Final payment is due by March 31st, 2025.

Are there any discounts for the group? Yes! We’ve negotiated a discount of $125 per person with Viking for anyone that books through our agency.
